How to Download embedded flvs and swf, or downloading videos from any site for free

I would like to begin the article with first telling how to download videos from sites like YouTube,Google Video, Metacafe e.t.c . There are hundreds of way and I am listing the best few I found out

1 . The First and the easiest way is that just use the "REAL PLAYER RECORD BROWSER PLUGIN"

Its the efficient and easiest way of downloading videos from video hosting sites. Just install REAL PLAYER 11 and during the install it asks you for installing the above mentioned plugin.

After the installation is complete just run your MOZILLA FIREFOX (the browser) and then when you are viewing the video on web site
hover to the right most upper corner of the video , an autohiding menu for downloading the video will show up.




Click on it and WALLAAH your video is being downloaded in flv format
For those who dont know about flv format , dont worry, REAL PLAYER will play that format and videos will be stored in mymusic

If real player is unable to play just use KMPLAYER OR WIMPY FLV PLAYER

2. The second one is little tougher than first but much more efficient and flexible
as you can get the video in almost any format (even just extract audio of the video)

Procedure

just copy the link of the video page from the address bar.

Then open one of the website like MEDIACONVERTER.ORG or KEEPVID.COM

Paste the link n the textbox
and click on next or convert

At mediaconverter.org , you will be having options of quality of video,type of video, size, and many options

After conversions you can save the new link and WALLAH , your video is saved

Now , to get your embedded swf , or those videos that are not being downloaded from the above mentioned procedures

You have to be little cautious first delete all your temporary internet files
Then run INTERNET EXPLORER and play the video. After the full video has been buffered/ played go to Temporary Internet Files folder

For Xp, location is like

C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Local Settings\Temp

and after that search for the file with maximum size and extension "swf"
copy it to any other drive and run it in a flash or a swf player
